San Antonio Open Houses don’t just occur on Sundays, they actually happen 24-hours per day. The big question I have for you is would you rather search the internet and find a great home based on the pictures, information and the way it is being marketed and then contact a REALTOR®, or would you rather drive around and tour the inside of homes on your spare time? Many may say both and I applaud you. There is a definite benefit to touring the inside of tje home you plan to purchase.
The 2010 National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Buyers and Sellers shows that approximately 11 percent of the buyers found the home they bought from an open house where as 75 percent of the buyers ultimately found their home from a REALTOR® (38 percent) or via the internet (37 percent). I would dare to say that San Antonio Open Houses bring the same results.
Now a lot of REALTORS® hold open houses in San Antonio weekly in an attempt to expose their client’s home to the public. A lot of people (~45 percent) gain valuable information from those events in the form of market value of the homes in the area, staging tips, interest rates, stealth interviews of the REALTORS® holding the home open and sometimes just curious of what is going on next door. The number one source for information used in the home search is the internet (89 percent of all buyers).
One of the main reasons why San Antonio REALTORS® hold Open Houses is to obtain buyer leads and many have wireless cards so that they can show the buyers the Homes for Sale in San Antonio. What is interesting to me is that the usefullness of the information about Buying a Home from the internet is 81 percent and only 29 percent for Open Houses according to NAR.
